Food was amazing. Greens so good they don't need any pepper sauce, but then the pepper sauce is fantastic! Green beans, mac n cheese, black eyed peas, all of was so good. Portions were huge! Only thing missing? Recliner for a nap afterwards. We will be back.
If you’re craving true Southern comfort food, Claire’s Place is a hidden gem that delivers a soul-satisfying experience from start to finish. The country cooking here is nothing short of amazing. I ordered the hamburger steak, and it was divine—perfectly seasoned, tender, and smothered in rich gravy that made every bite melt in your mouth. The sides were just as impressive: real mashed potatoes (none of that boxed stuff here), slow-cooked black-eyed peas full of smoky flavor, and cornbread that was golden, moist, and full of that old-fashioned taste only a seasoned Southern kitchen can pull off. The salad bar felt like a trip back in time—in the best way. It was simple, fresh, and filled with nostalgic touches you don’t see much anymore. And the meal wouldn’t have been complete without the homemade peach cobbler—warm, sweet, and just like my granny used to make. Claire’s Place is more than a meal—it’s a memory in the making. Don’t miss it. Also, buy someone a meal to pay it forward.
I was unable to find an updated menu or a list of specials online, and their Facebook page said to message them about it, likely because they have different specials daily. So that's what I did & She was so quick and attentive! I appreciate y'all very much & have eaten there since back in the day, & I'm extremely glad to see them still in business & doing what they do best!!!
We were in town for a memorial service for a family member and stopped in for lunch. It was delicious! Everything was the right temperature, seasoned well and the service was excellent. We both ate for less than $25 total.
Southern comfort is exactly this! Simple but tasty. Maybe a little over salty. Fast, attentive service even during their slow times.
We come here a lot after church on Sundays the chicken tenders and salad bar is always really good! When we were paying on Sunday I noticed they had a board up with people that have prepaid meals for someone that is hungry and doesn’t have any money. This was the first time I had ever seen that. I think that’s super great that they do that! 10/10
Everything here was great. I loved the service and the food. The other two coworkers that were with me had the same experience. We were working in the area and were looking for more of a home cooked meal than the normal chains. This place was it and if I lived near here I would eat here way too much! I hope to be able to come back someday.
